Description

What is Ovestin Cream?

Ovestim cream is a medication used by women to relieve symptoms resulting from a lack of oestrogens such as vaginal dryness, irritation or other symptoms associated with menopause. Ovestin cream can also be used to treat vaginal tissues before and after surgery to encourage healing of the wound.

How Does Ovestin Cream Work?

A decline in the level of estrogen in the body can lead to various health complications. Menopause is one factor that can contribute to low oxygen levels in women. During menopause, some women suffer from hot flashes, irritation, soreness or dryness in their vagina. Ovestin cream is a medication that can be used to curb these symptoms. It works by producing estriol, a substance that acts as a substitute for estrogen. Therefore, estriol can be used to replace lost estrogen in the body and ultimately relieve the symptoms caused by estrogen deficit.
