What is Nitrolingual Spray?
The Nitrolingual spray is a medication that is used to relieve angina in people that suffer from various heart conditions. It can also be used to help prevent chest pain before a person engages in strenuous physical activities such as working out.
How Does Nitrolingual Spray Work?
Angina is a medical condition in which the heart does not pump enough blood around the body due to narrowed or blocked arteries. As a result, the heart muscles receive less oxygen and blood, which makes them unable to making function properly. The Nitrolingual spray belongs to a class of drugs known as nitrates that are vasodilators, meaning they relax and widen blood vessels. As a result, the heart can pump more blood easily to the heart muscles, thus reducing strain and heart-related chest pain.
