Description

What is Ibuleve 5% and 10% Gel?

Ibuleve gel is a topical pain relief medication. It contains the active ingredient ibuprofen, which is a type of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is typically used for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains.

How Does ibuleve Gel Work?

Ibuleve gel works by reducing inflammation and relieving pain. When applied to the skin, it gets absorbed through the skin and directly targets inflamed areas where it works by blocking the production of pain-causing chemicals called prostaglandins. The active ingredient in Ibuleve 5% and 10% gel is ibuprofen, which belongs to a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs work by reducing inflammation and swelling, by inhibiting the production of chemicals such as prostaglandins, thus providing relief from pain, inflammation, and tenderness.
