Dovonex Ointment contains calcipotriol, a vitamin D analogue, which helps regulate the growth and development of skin cells. In plaque psoriasis, skin cells multiply too quickly, resulting in the formation of thick, scaly patches. Calcipotriol in Dovonex slows down the overproduction of skin cells, reducing inflammation and clearing the plaques. Improvement is usually seen within a few weeks of consistent use.

Description

What is Dovonex Ointment?

Dovonex Ointment is purposefuly meant to treat skin affected by plaque psoriasis. You can use it safely anywhere on the body apart from the scalp or face. Dovonex quickly smooths out scales, reduces redness, and generally soothes skin irritation when applied to the intented patches of skin.

How Does Dovonex Ointment Work?

Dovonex Ointment works by using calcipotriol, a vitamin D analogue, to slow down the overproduction of skin cells. In plaque psoriasis, skin cells multiply faster than usual, leading to thick, scaly patches. Calcipotriol helps regulate the growth of these skin cells, reducing inflammation and clearing up the plaques over time. It targets the underlying cause of psoriasis by normalizing skin cell production, leading to an improvement in symptoms.
