Cialis

Known as the "Weekend Pill", Cialis tablets are a popular, long-lasting treatment for men's health in treating erectile dysfunction.

Like Viagra, Cialis is a PDE-5 (phosphodiesterase type 5) inhibitor. It works by relaxing the blood vessels that flow into the penis. When more blood flows, a satisfactory erection is achieved. Men need to be sexually aroused to get an adequate erection. Cialis is available as daily 2.5 or 5mg tablets for sexually active men. It also comes in 10mg or 20mg pills taken when needed.

Description

Cialis is an oral medication containing the active ingredient tadalafil. It is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the penis, which helps achieve and maintain an erection. Its effects can last up to 36 hours, providing a longer window of opportunity for sexual activity. Cialis is the branded version of tadalafil and is considered effective for about 80% of men experiencing ED.

How Cialis Works

Cialis functions by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, which increases blood flow following sexual stimulation. It does not increase sexual desire or treat the underlying physical causes of ED. The tablet should be taken at least 30 minutes before planned sexual activity, and it only works if you are sexually aroused. Cialis is also used to manage symptoms of an enlarged prostate by improving blood flow to the prostate and bladder, aiding in easier urination

The medicine is a prescription-only treatment packaged in 10mg & 20mg tablets. They are the branded version of generic tadalafil made by pharmaceutical company Lilly. The active ingredient tadalafil is a version of sildenafil contained in Viagra.

 

Warnings

  • Heart attack or stroke within the last six months.
  • Liver or kidney disease.
  • Hemophilia.
  • Sickle cell anemia or leukemia.

  • Stomach ulcers.

Directions

Take Cialis following the guidance of your healthcare provider and always read the instructions carefully. 

  • Take one tablet 30 minutes before sex.
  • Cialis can take effect within one hour; the effect increases within a few hours.
  • Only take one pill within 36 hours.
  • You can take the medicine with or without food. However, it is advisable to limit alcohol intake for more effectiveness.

Cialis does not always work for everyone after the first use. It requires patience before giving up.

Ingredients

Tadalafil at a 10mg or 20mg strength, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium lauryl sulfate, hypromellose, triacetin, titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide yellow (E172) and talc.

Side Effects

The few people who suffer mild side effects from using Cialis find them to be temporary. The common side effects include:

  • Nasal congestion
  • Facial flushing

Don't take other ED medication with Cialis. Seek medical attention when you experience an erection for more than four hours after using Cialis.
