Travel sickness, also known as motion sickness, causes nausea and discomfort during travel by car, boat, plane, or train. It is triggered by repeated movements when travelling, causing the inner ear to send different signals to your brain from those seen by your eyes. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, cold sweat, headache, dizziness, tiredness, loss of appetite, and increased salivation, but stop when no longer travelling. Over-the-counter medications like dimenhydrinate, acupressure bands, ginger, and lifestyle adjustments like looking at the horizon and avoiding heavy meals before travel alleviate symptoms. Please fill out the form below so that our clinicians can determine if the treatment will be suitable for you to take.
